Being a Wedding Planner

I just wanted to take a moment and share my thoughts on being in this business. It's been a little over 4 years and I love what I do. It takes a special person to do this and it is not the glamorous job as portrayed on tv; it's hard -- really hard work.

Most of the time everybody loves you....but sometimes it's a thankless job. You cannot always make everyone happy, but I try, if there is a delay getting in the venue to setup -- it still has to get done....if a flower gets forgotten or broken -- I'm prepared to create another one -- I always try to be patient during rehearsals as these are the friends and family of my brides.

I don't charge extremely high prices -- I charge what I think is fair, but I do believe you get what you pay for. I am not in it for the fame or the money, this is just what I'm here to do. I like helping to create a vision of someone's dream day and seeing it come to life. Planning a wedding is stressful, I try to limit the amount that the bride feels -- sometimes it works.....

Again, I just wanted to share -- wedding planners really are some of the best money you will spend on your wedding, we will help you save time -- refer you to the best vendors -- and most of all, do our absolute best to keep you on budget.

The day of, I will be running around to make sure everything is where, when and how it is supposed to be....that's what I do.
